Elevation Recruitment Group are pleased to be recruiting on an exclusive basis for a prestigious and well known business in Sheffield as they look to strengthen their team by bringing in a fully qualified Management Accountant.
Reporting to the Head of Finance and overseeing a small team, the purpose of the role is to provide effective support in Business Reporting, Budgeting/Forecasting as well as building relationships with key stakeholders. The team is currently undergoing a number of changes, and the successor would be joining at a time of opportunity to get involved in new initiatives and projects.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:-
- Dealing with requests for financial information and subsequent analysis - involving a high level of trouble shooting of issues from the business
- Translating business requirements for Management reporting into actionable standard reporting
- Supporting the budget and forecasting process for a specific Business support function
- Support the Finance Reporting Analytics Team Leader in the drive for continuous improvement of existing processes
- Conduct twice yearly performance reviews for direct reports, managing study leave and holiday requests
- Opportunities to get involved in various new projects within the team and with other finance teams as required
The successful Management Accountant will need to be able to demonstrate the following skills and experiences:
- Qualified Accountant CIMA/ACCA or similar
- Be able to lead and manage processes and direct reports to perform to the appropriate service level standards
- Advanced Excel skills (i. pivot tables, Sumif, Vlookup)
- Experience with SAP Business Objects/ BI Launchpad/Web intelligence is desirable but not essential
- Able to build trust and rapport to develop effective relationships, internally and externally
- Able to handle multiple priorities, working to sometimes conflicting timescales in a fast-paced and challenging environment
- Be able to build and maintain strong productive relationships with other business service teams, Partners, fee earners etc.
- Demonstrate an enthusiatic, patient and collaborative working style
