The Finance & Accountancy division at SF Recruitment are looking for a Qualified Accountant to join our fantastic Client in Leicester, who work in the public sector. The role will involve providing specialist financial advice and support to senior staff, customers and contribute to an efficient and effective customer orientated, financial management service.

Responsibilities include:

- Complete end of year accounts for respective department
- Ensure the control accounts, suspense accounts, bank and balance sheet reconciliations are completed and will assist with resolving issues as identified
- Ensure the cash income management system processes are completed and maintained
- Interpret and explain complex legislative directives and guidelines, financial regulations etc.
- Supporting the budgeting process
- Manage and Develop 5 employees
- Responsible for keeping the banking administration up to date
- Undertake project work including acting as the lead person as appropriate


The candidate:

- Qualified Accountant with at least 3 years' experience in public sector
- Substantial experience of budgeting, accounting, financial management
- Ability and experience in managing people
- Excellent written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills
- Strong IT skills - Including use of large financial management systems
- Member to a CCAB body
