Accountant- 30-37 Hours

My client is looking for an accountant to join their growing finance team. They encourage agile

working but will anticipate 1-2 days per week to be based in our Skipton Office or 1 day in Skipton, 2 in Leeds and the rest working from home.,

My client is open to receiving applications from candidates either to work on a full time basis or a

minimum of 30 hours per week.

Candidates will have the following:

To be successful, you will have experience of working in a similar role. A relevant Finance

qualification e. ACCA and experience in the construction sector is advantageous but not required.

Ability to work accurately and to achieve deadlines is a must. This is a fast paced environment and

will suit a candidate who enjoys a mixture of routine tasks and ad hoc project work. They are a large

and friendly team and this is a great opportunity for an individual with strong interpersonal skills and

a positive "can do" attitude.

Confidence with finance systems, particularly ERPs, is necessary. The successful candidate will need

to demonstrate they have experience on similar systems and have the ability to identify and

implement system improvements where required.

Responsibilities will include:

• Being the lead accountant for join entities
• Preparation of monthly management accounts
• Monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts
• Intercompany reconciliations
• Providing assurance to third party advisors, predominantly statutory auditors
• Preparation of consolidated financial accounts
• Business partnering and support to commercial teams
• Oversight of time and cost data transfer from parent company ERP
• System and process improvement projects
• Maintenance of project bank accounts and associated reporting
