Finance Business Partner (Housing)

Based: Manchester

Salary: highly dependent on experience. Excellent benefits, flexible working hours and opportunities. Role be working from remotely but you must be based in the North West to be considered for limited, ad-hoc office travel

Four Recruitment are partnering exclusively with a leading housing group based in the North West. Having worked with this business for years, we know them extremely well and have placed a large number of people in their growing finance function. The group is well-known in the industry and offer a great place to work for their staff - good benefits, flexible working hours and fully remote working (although you MUST be based in the North West for very limited ad-hoc office travel)

We are looking for an enthusiastic, driven Business Partner to manage a team of 2 and work closely with the Financial Controller to build positive relationships both internally and externally whilst providing accurate and timely financial information, guidance, support and challenge when required

Role:

  • Managing all budgets across multiple entities including effective financial reporting, forecasting and monitoring
  • Leading and managing a small team - appraisals, training, development
  • Reviewing cash flow forecasting, reflective of current knowledge
  • Business partnering with department- appraising new opportunities, challenging where required, grant funding bids and regular forecasting
  • Financial management of the Asset Management budgets including investment expenditure for existing and new properties
  • Monthly preparation of monthly reports, management accounts, strategic meetings and operational reports
  • Assisting with preparing annual budget, statutory accounts and business plan
  • Working closely with the Director and team for new business growth, providing financial guidance, support & challenge
  • Carrying out relevant financial analysis and reporting
  • Ensuring Fixed Asset Register is up to date, accurately recorded
  • Assisting financial risks for new projects/growth plans from a commercial perspective
  • Attending internal project meetings, carrying out ad-hoc projects as required
  • Continuously evaluating IT processes and procedures, suggesting to improve efficiencies where possible

Experience:

  • ACCA, CIMA, ACA qualified Accountant
  • Housing experience is essential
  • Knowledge of developments/asset management is highly desirable
  • Commercial experience and strong business partnering/stakeholder management experience ssential
  • Driven, enthusiastic and able to lead a team and drive forward.
