Financial Controller

Hays have been exclusively appointed to recruit a Financial Controller for a specialist IT firm in Leicester.

Your new company
This specialist IT services business are a successful and growing subsidiary of a large PLC and in order to support their continued development and progress, are keen to appoint their first Financial Controller to oversee their operational and commercial financial management.

Your new role
Reporting into senior management, this is a unique opportunity to join a great business and play a key role in implementing, developing and improving processes and procedures to ensure robust financial management, providing value-add support and analysis to drive decision-making.
Your key duties will include overseeing the preparation of month and year-end accounts, preparation of board pack, provision of budgets and forecasts, regulatory returns, audit and compliance as well as trend and competitor analysis.
You will also be responsible for group reporting to head office as well as playing a key role in the integration of new acquisitions into the business.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be a qualified accountant with a strong track record of operating within a hands-on controller role. With strong process and systems skills, you will ideally have an understanding of revenue recognition and the desire to join a forward-thinking business who thrive on high energy and a transparent culture.
