Mid Tier Harrow, Middlesex based Accountancy Practice are looking for a Payroll Manager to join their friendly team. As the main point of contact for the Practice you will be responsible for fielding all Client queries and for HMRC Liaison. Job responsibilities of the Payroll Manager will include the following:

 

  • Be responsible for completion of payroll duties for all the Firms clients who have signed up for payroll services. The tasks could range from computation of weekly and monthly payroll, printing of payslips and forwarding to clients as well as informing them of their tax liability, completing returns, assisting clients with HMRC tax enquiries and other tax matters,  and any other special assignments and/or ad-hoc projects as required by the partners.
  • Provide advisory services to clients to ensure statutory compliance.
  • Ensure PAYE letters are sent quarterly and monthly to all clients.
  • Upon Partners instructions to set up new PAYE scheme for new clients.
  • Be self-motivated, able to work to tight deadlines, and have excellent interpersonal and supervisory skills.
  • Handle all aspects of running and delivering client payroll and reporting to manager / partner.
  • Identify risk matters and selling opportunities,
  • Liaise with managers/partners on progress for all jobs and cross selling opportunities.
  • Control cost budgets, meet reporting timetables and prepare key client reporting documents.
  • Ensure professional standards are met and supervise and develop more junior staff.
  • Delegate work, review, manage and train junior staff.
  • Develop professional relationships with clients and within the firm.
  • Actively manage your self-development and continuing professional education.
  • Attend CPD courses or other professional courses as required by the firm.
  • Have a genuine interest in understanding your clients’ businesses with the drive to deliver exceptional client service.
  • Ensure IRIS Practice Management is kept up to date in respect of all your assignments.
  • Be able to work well both as part of a team and also unsupervised.
  • Be prepared to travel when required.
  • Excellent verbal & oral communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills - externally and internally.
  • High level of organisational skills and ability to multi-task.
  • Work to a highly professional standard whilst representing all Lawrence Grants clients, including a genuine interest in client businesses.

Ideally you will have Multi-Client Payroll Experience with Mitrefinch/Flexipay software experience desirable and in return you will receive a Salary c£30k
