Your new company
Hays is proud to be partnered with a premium, global Financial Services organisation in order to recruit for a Corporate Tax specialist at the level of Assistant Manager, Manager or Senior Manager to complete a year-long day rate contract. Providing extensive financial solutions and products, this organisation is instantly recognisable and you will be joining a growing yet experienced Finance Department made up of various Teams such as Treasury, Corporate Accounting, Regulatory Reporting and Tax Operations and Execution. This role may be entirely remote, depending on the individual and their location, or will return to a hybrid work set up when it is safe to do so, in line with government guidance.
Your new role
Joining a well-established and reputable EMEA Tax Function made up of approximately 10 individuals across Edinburgh, London and beyond, you will be responsible for managing the multi-national tax compliance, accounting and reporting for a number of substantial entities. This will offer you significant exposure to complex tax computations, provisioning and reporting work, gaining invaluable knowledge of tax legislation across various regions, such as UK, Hungary, Greece, Jersey, Israel and Saudi Arabia. Further to this you will be involved in tax and process related projects and delivering advice to the business. Specific duties will include the timely provision of data for corporate income tax returns, liaising with third party advisers, preparing key supporting computations for CIT returns, such as for the Controlled Foreign Companies, and preparing and reconciling monthly US GAAP tax provisions and balance sheet accounts respectively. You will respond to queries from stakeholders and coordinate payment of corporate tax liabilities.
What you'll need to succeed
You will have a proven track record in delivering corporate tax compliance, in a practice or in-house capacity. This will ideally be complimented by a relevant qualification, such as ACA, CA or CTA. Knowledge or experience of international tax will enhance your application. You will have strong attention to detail and organisation skills, exhibiting the ability to work to tight deadlines and to your own initiative.
What you'll get in return
In addition to receiving a generous day rate of up to £350, you will gain invaluable experience and operate within a highly-reputable international business as part of an experienced and notable EMEA Tax Function. The business offers brilliant flexibility, and the opportunity to develop your stakeholder and project management skills and gain substantial exposure to various tax regimes and accounting frameworks.
