Finance Business Partner
Based: Knutsford
Salary: up to £50k dependent on experience. Excellent opportunity in a new role within a progressive business
Our client is a leading food manufacturing business based in Knutsford. Established over 150 years ago, they have experienced organic growth over the last decade with a group turnover of around £100m. This is a newly created role within Finance for a strong Commercial Finance Manager to join the team. We are looking for a confident Accountant who is able to business partner with stakeholders at all levels, challenge results and work with all business departments to provide an analytical overview of finance.
Role:
- Manage business forecasting, reporting and budget process - analysing sales and providing insight into historic and future sales performance
- Line management of 1 staff member, regular appraisals and development
- Challenging sales forecast, translating to overall P&L and balance sheet forecast, working with commercial/operations/finance to produce rolling 12 month and 3 year forecast
- Working closely with commercial and operations team on production and stock planning
- Financial forecasting for external stakeholders, providing strong MI to drive working capital
- Analysis and evaluation of sales data for market, customer and SKU level (promotional activity, economic situation)
- Daily, weekly and monthly reporting with analytical commentary on margin, customer, SKU, turnover and stock analysis
- Actively monitoring customer and SKU performance, highlighting risk and anomalies to the commercial teams
- Working with the sales team to project future sales in line with monthly/quarterly reforecast
- Working with commercial and operations to develop a manufacturing plan for factory efficiency and minimising working capital requirements, ensuring integrity for BOM structure
Experience:
- Qualified Accountant OR QBE with extensive commercial experience
- Advanced Excel skills essential
- Independent worker who is confident in their ability to challenge senior stakeholders
- Analytical & commercially driven
- Ability to work in a fast paced, ever changing environment
