Elevation Accountancy & Finance are currently working with a key client based in Leeds as they look to appoint a Credit Data Analyst to support their Risk & Internal Control Team with a wide range of activities including: Credit Risk, Market Risk, Internal Control & TPI Audit. The role is initially for 6 Months, with the potential to be made permanent for the right candidate!

As Credit Data Analyst you will primarily support the existing Credit Analyst, however there is scope to experience and support other areas of the team. Duties & Responsibilities will include:

● Processing credit applications using a custom credit scorecard (Experian Business IQ)
● Liaising with our external credit insurer
● Communicating with internal departments on a daily basis on a range of topics including: Bank Guarantees, Letters of Credit, Security Deposits
● Contributing to management packs for the Credit/Sales Meeting & Local Risk Management Committee (LRMC)
● Provide a clear view of performance across business operations, understanding trends and identifying opportunities and areas in need of development and improvements
● Create a suite of automated reports and dashboards to effectively manage their business
● Develop an understanding of the various end users of these reports and ensure that they are suitable
● Be able to effectively communicate technical solutions to non-technical people

To be successful for this role you MUST have the following attributes:-

● Ideally degree level qualification in a related discipline (Maths, Business, Economics, Accounting, Finance, Management)
● Able to confidently use Microsoft Office, particularly Advanced Excel, including VBA
● Approachable with the ability to provide excellent customer service
● Ability to demonstrate a practical approach to problem solving
● Able to produce accurate work under tight deadlines
● Ability to report complex financial analysis to a wide ranging audience
● Highly numerate with good verbal reasoning skills
● Strong problem solving and decision making abilities
● Ability to query SQL Server & Oracle databases using SQL is highly desirable
● Experience of using Power Query within Excel/Power BI is highly desirable
