Financial Planning Manager

Our client, a respected Financial Services Group is seeking to appoint an Interim Financial Planning Senior Manager. This is a unique and exciting opportunity to lead and develop a Financial Planning framework for a leading Investment Management firm which is well positioned for future growth. Initially home based, the role could be based anywhere in the UK, with some travel to London or Liverpool as required. We are interested in attracting applications from candidates who are interested in the role on a permanent or interim basis.

Reporting to the Head of FP&A, the role will be responsible for developing the Financial Plan for the Group, which will include developing the five year financial plan, framework and model. You will also be responsible for managing a small team of managers and analysts undertaking planning, reporting, budgeting, forecasting and BI activities to support the group planning cycle. The role will be responsible for leading and developing the finance team, providing strategic and tactical decision support.

The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with strong experience in financial planning, in particular developing the 5 year financial plan and model. You should have excellent knowledge of excel. Financial reporting, forecasting and budgeting will also be helpful. You must bring commercial acumen, excellent stakeholder management skills as well as people management and leadership experience. You should also be a willing and collaborative team player, ambitious and driven, with a positive can do attitude.
