Financial Accountant

Financial Accountant | Surrey | Up to £55,000 per annum + benefits including bonus scheme and health insurance | Business Services

Working closely with the Financial Controller, the Financial Accountant will be primarily responsible for all aspects of accounts preparation and the production of key financial statements.

Financial Accountant Responsibilities:

• Liaising with Auditors during group and statutory audits
• Preparation of information for tax teams relating to tax compliance and planning initiatives
• Producing quarterly board packs
• Preparation of accounting papers in support of any financial judgements or technical reviews as required
• Assisting with SOx work and ad hoc compliance/risk projects
• Liaising regularly with FP&A teams
• Analysing monthly, management results
• Mentoring and coaching wider finance teams in relation to both IFRS & US GAAP

Candidate Requirements:

• Qualified finance professional - ACA or ACCA
• Strong technical finance knowledge - IFRS & US GAAP
• Advanced finance systems skills ideally PeopleSoft
• Outstanding spreadsheet/Excel modelling ability
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• Emotionally intelligent with a disciplined approach to work
