Investment Risk Analyst

London / Croydon

£49,452 to £55,467 per annum

Our client has an opportunity for an Investment Risk Analyst to join the team on a 12-month fixed term contract.

This role will join their Investment Risk team, that is responsible for independent risk oversight of their investment portfolio, which is invested across a broad range of asset classes and investment strategies e.g. Equities, Credit, EMD, Alternatives and LDI. The team also provides risk analysis to support the investment team’s portfolio management process and their oversight of external managers.

The Investment Risk Analyst will be involved in all areas of the team’s responsibilities but will focus on modelling, analysing and reporting on the short- to medium-term risks across the investment portfolio.  They will play a key role in proactively discussing risk exposures with the investment team and will also work on developing the approach to aggregate risk exposures across the liquid assets and private market assets in the portfolio.

The ideal applicant will have investment risk modelling and analysis experience gained within an asset management or pension fund environment dealing with investment risks within both public and private markets.  Strong quantitative and analytical skills are required, along with a sound working knowledge of investment risk systems (e.g. Aladdin).  Knowledge of modelling the risks of private/illiquid assets is an advantage.
