SAP Cost Accountant

Axon Moore are recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturing business based in the Rochdale area. My client is seeking a Finalist/Qualified Management Accountant with SAP experience to join the team on a permanent basis.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, the role will focus on supporting the operations and commercial teams, ensuring growth inline with company strategy. Strong analytical and technical skills as well as excellent communication skills and a desire to grow and develop in the role are essential.

Responsibilities include:

• Preparation and analysing monthly operational and financial results and delivering these to the manufacturing and supply chain teams on performance
• Finance lead for product costing reviews for 2 manufacturing sites
• Supporting the sales team with pricing and costing information
• Annual stock take
• Providing financial support to various teams including manufacturing, engineering, supply chain and operations
• Supporting capex investments
• Preparing budgets and forecasting quarterly
• Reporting using Power BI
• Supporting the business with SAP improvement processes
• To assist in ad-hoc project work and other finance related role as required.

Experience & Skill Requirements:

• Experience working within Management Accounts (1-2 years minimum), ideally within Manufacturing, thought this is not essential.
• Qualified or Finalist ACCA/CIMA/ACA
• Experience using SAP is essential
• Strong Excel skills are essential
• A problem solver and able to make informed decisions
• An effective delegator and able to work alone or part of a team
• High levels of attention to detail and accuracy
• An enthusiastic and focused person with a positive attitude
