PTP Assistant Manager, Manchester, 6 Month FTC, Media, £40-45,000

We are recruiting for a key client of hours within one of the largest global Media networks. They are looking for a PTP specialist to offer financial advice and guidance around the end-to-end Payables processes and plays a critical role in building the capability and standards of the Payables function.

Key Responsibilities:

 Managing the PtP functions:     

  • Responsible for the entire process and departmental functions such as Vendor master maintenance, invoice processing & PO matching, payment processing, handling vendor and staff queries, AP related management reporting, corresponding internal controls, and smooth sub ledger close
  • Identify clear objectives for the team, providing coaching, career development and feedback to team members, providing performance evaluation and reward
  • Closely work with the business teams and effectively manage the Requisition & PO compliance process
  • Participate and Lead in cross functional process and system improvement initiative strategic thinking:
  • Responsible for the overall performance of the team, monitoring their performance, providing timely feedback & assisting them to improve on their identified training needs
  • Develops, implements, and updates internal operating policies and procedures
  • Supervises provision of accurate, timely information to support external, internal and client audits
  • Implements process controls to ensure PtP deliverables are achieved on an accurate and timely basis
  • Reviews process documentation ensuring compliance to policies and audit requirements

  • Excellent ability to build effective and sustainable relationships at all levels
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels
  • A minimum of two years of experience in a position with leadership responsibilities
  • Ability to work with cross-cultural teams
