Your new role
Reporting to the Associate Tax Director, you will be responsible for the compliance and advisory requirements of a number of mainly Private Client Individuals. You will be providing general tax planning to the Firm's clients along with tax advisory projects with the Associate Tax Director and Tax Partner. You will be managing a small team of tax associates and tax seniors and have overall responsibility for the output in your team. Managing a compliance portfolio of mainly personal and some partnership tax returns to include monitoring of billing and work in progress, you'll also meet and liaise with clients and potential clients to discuss their tax affairs. You'll assist in the review of tax returns prepared by more junior members of staff. You'll be involved in tax planning issues including Capital Taxes, and you'll liaise proactively with clients on advisory matters. It will also be your responsibility to assist the Associate Tax Director and partners on complex technical assignments, and to be involved in marketing Private Client taxation services with the Associate Tax Director and partners. You'll also have the opportunity to attend networking events, to promote the firm, as required.


What you'll need to succeed
You will be a qualified tax professional - ATT, CTA, ACCA, ACA (or similar), or qualified by experience. You'll have a minimum 5 years' experience in dealing with personal tax issues, and a knowledge of trusts taxation is beneficial although not essential. You'll be confident, well organised and an excellent communicator. You'll have good IT & problem-solving skills as well as a thorough and methodical approach to work. You work well under pressure and can be adaptable to take on cases not specifically on your own allocation. You'll be able to lead and manage team members, as well as support their training and development.
