Interim Finance Manager

North Yorkshire

3-6 months

£250-£300 per day (Inside IR35)

Excellent opportunity to work for a growing SME services business reporting to the Finance Director, for 3-6 months, which could go permanent for the right candidate.

The main aspects of the role will be:

  • To lead and develop the Finance Team through positive, proactive management ensuring agreed performance targets are met through effective and efficient use of processes and procedures.
  • Provide sound financial management of the company accounts, accounts receivable and payable, sales ledger and payroll functions
  • Ensure compliance with all financial regulations related to the organisation and ensure the protection of the organisation and the people it serves from all forms of financial risks Inc. fraud
  • Working with senior budget holders across the organisation to ensure an accurate budget position is maintained.
  • To plan, lead and oversee the financial audits programme, across the organisations locations.
  • Preparation of the period end management account pack and presentation
  • Compile AD-HOC financial reports to be circulated to the Executive Board, Lead Managers and to those approved for circulation, and to report at management meetings on all aspects of financial performance.
  • To identify develop and implement improvements to support organisational financial and business performance.
  • To support, coach and develop the finance team, skills knowledge to enhance the team's effectiveness and capability.

Skills & experienced:

  • CIMA /ACCA / ACA qualified with at least 5 years' experience in a similar role, strong QBE candidates may be considered
  • Experienced user of Financial Accounting Software required.
  • Advanced skills in use of all MS Office products, especially Excel and MS Teams
  • Ability to prioritise and manage own workload, and that of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills required.
  • Leading and managing a multi-disciplined finance team.
