Axon Moore are really excited to be partnering with a well established and well known PLC based in the Lancashire area who are looking to appoint a Financial Controller to their ever growing finance team.
This is an excellent position where you will be a key decision maker and required to develop strong financial and business relationships across the group.
You will be responsible for all aspects of Financial Control, Reporting, Management Accounts and Statutory Accounts.
Your duties will include but are not limited to:
This role will suit a ACA qualified candidate looking for their 2nd move, however CIMA/ACCA will be considered with previous Controller experience in the distribution/Logistics sector.
The role is currently working remotely and for the foreseeable, however there will be flexibility going forward in terms of office/remote working.

- Ensuring strong financial control over key processes in a growing business.
- Introduction of KPI reporting on month-end and balance sheet metrics.
- Production of annual statutory accounts and provision of relevant information / explanations for the auditors
- Production of monthly management accounts and reports.
- Liaising with the Commercial department to pull together weekly P&L forecasts and rolling monthly forecasts.
- Analysing variances between the weekly forecast and actual numbers at month end.
- Working with others in the business to improve P&L performance.
- Provision of key reports to the management of the business
- Production of annual budgets and forecasts
- Lead, develop and motivate a finance team of 4
