Assistant Manager - Employment Taxes and Reward - Top 10 Firm - Southampton - CTA ATT ACA

Working for this Top 10 Team, you will be a key member of the Global Employer Services group, and this role will provide reward and share schemes services for a wide range of clients. You will be responsible for assisting Directors & Partners in providing Tax compliance and advisory services to a wide range of clients.

The primary responsibility will be to deal with all matters relating to the management of a portfolio of existing clients and assist with the development of targets in order to ensure the continued growth of the business. You will also provide assistance to senior members of staff in both client work and in the management of the group, as appropriate.

Key to the role is for the individual to be able to pro-actively manage their own workload, communicating with directors/partners on a regular basis. This is essential due to the size and nature of the team. Furthermore, the individual will be expected to be able to consider and highlight further opportunities to develop new work.

Ideally you will have been responsible for providing employment tax advisory and compliance services to a wide range of clients and have the ability to advise on the tax treatment of share options and other forms of employee share ownership. An in depth knowledge of reward tax and related areas such as employment, NIC and capital gains tax etc would be an advantage along with some experience in the preparation of share valuations and liaison with HMRC.

You will ideally also need to hold a relevant professional qualification, such as ATT, CTA or ACA and have the ability to profitably manage a client portfolio, demonstrate development of new clients and successful selling of new services to existing clients, have an awareness of accounting, employment law and company law implications of share incentives and an interest in the wider HR and human capital drivers and implications of reward.

This is a great opportunity to develop your career further in the field of employment taxes and as well as receiving a competitive salary and benefits package, you will be supported to achieve your aspirations.

If this sounds like the sort of opportunity you would like to know more about please feel free to contact Debbie Stent on 07900 224915 for a confidential discussion - or simply apply straight away!
