Elevation Recruitment Group are currently recruiting an Interim Payroll Manager for a forward thinking business based in Chesterfield. This is a rare and exciting opportunity for a knowledgeable, capable, and confident Payroller who is looking for a role where they will be given responsibility and autonomy from day one whilst also being part of a friendly and supportive team-environment. You will have full ownership for all aspects of payroll management including processing, queries, reporting and calculations.

The successful candidate will be employed on a 9 month Fixed Term Contract to cover a period of Maternity. Ensuring targets and work quality is maintained in a timely manner, as well as having a hands-on approach with the day to day payroll processing.

Duties & Responsibilities:

* Responsible for end to end monthly payroll
* Maintain and update holiday, sickness & general employee records
* Ensuring accurate payment of all employee wages and dealing with any relevant queries through to resolution
* Assisting with the implementation of new systems
* Manage payroll control accounts and balance sheet (NET pay accounts and Tax accounts)
* Ensure security of information and that relevant back-ups are undertaken
* Reconciliation of relevant deductions
* Maintain compliance with HMRC regulations
* Payroll reporting
* Project work including paying a pivotal part in the implementation of a new system
* Assisting with the wider finance team and business to provide ad-hoc support as the business continues to grow - purchase, sales ledger, reporting, admin etc.

Elevation Accountancy & Finance are currently looking for individuals with the following skills and experiences:

-Minimum of 3+ years' experience running a monthly payroll
- Strong Excel / Data Manipulation skills
- Experienced with manual calculations
- Ability to work independently, use your initiative and ask questions where needed
- Confident individual who is not afraid to pick up the phone and speak to senior members of staff
- Experience of any system implementations would be advantageous
