As a Supervisor or Adviser within the tax compliance team which sits alongside our accounts and audit teams, you will be responsible for the preparation of personal tax returns, P11D benefit in kind forms and also, the preparation of corporation tax computations and returns (working with the accounts team to complete these). The team also works particularly closely with the tax advisory team and there will be opportunities for both new team members to be involved with ad hoc advisory projects.

Ideally you will need to have both a corporate and personal tax background. However, a particularly strong personal tax background is more important as all of the tax compliance team members are responsible for their own portfolio of personal tax clients. As a supervisor you will have additional responsibilities to oversee this team, be the reviewer of work and ensure the team runs smoothly and efficiently, with jobs being completed on time, on budget and to a high standard.

It is essential that you have already worked in a practice, have a strong background in personal and corporate tax and ideally will be ATT qualified, potentially considering further study for your CTA. That said, if you are "qualified by experience" and can demonstrate the relevant skills and qualities then the firm would still love to hear from you!
