Senior Tax Manager (M&A / Private Client)

Excellent opportunity for a Tax Manager with exposure to M&A work to forge a career in a specialist tax team within a large independent General Practice.

Your new firm
A large independent firm firm of Chartered Accountants are looking to appoint a commercially astute Senior Tax Manager to join their tax consultancy business on a permanent basis. This role is to head up their Private Client team which mainly advises on mergers & acquisitions and other significant transaction work. The firm have a significant pipeline of work and see this as a key area of growth for them. The firm have been established for over fifty years and operate from modern offices in Wigan.

Your new role
As a Senior Tax Manager you will report directly to the partners and take a lead on the private client team. You will predominantly be advising on a range of private equity transactions covering areas such EIS advance assurance, other share schemes, restructuring and capital tax planning. You will lead a small team and have the autonomy to grow the team as you see fit. This is a great opportunity for an ambitious manager looking to elevate themselves within a reputable forward thinking firm and there is the opportunity to be client / BD facing and progress to partnership with the successful growth of your fee line.

What you'll need to succeed
The partners are seeking a highly experienced CTA / ACA qualified tax advisor who has operated at manager level or above. This role offers excellent exposure across a range of transactions and M&A work so you must be able to demonstrate strong technical knowledge in this area from a private client perspective and the ability to liaise and advise confidently with clients. The partners see the growth of this department crucial to the continued success of the tax offering and are keen to appoint an ambitious and commercially astute manager who is looking to positively contribute to the growth of a department.
