A growing business based to the East or York, is currently recruiting for an Accounts Assistant to join their team.
Initially, the role will be a 12 months fixed-term contract to cover a maternity leave, but the business continue to go from strength to strength, and a permanent opportunity may become available. This is really exciting opportunity for a multi-skilled Accounts Assistant, who enjoys a role with variety, to join a small and friendly team. Ideally, the successful individual with start in August.
Reporting into the Finance Manager, key responsibilities will include:Processing the purchase invoices, matching and batchingSetting up new supplier lists on Sage 50Chasing missed payments from the sales ledgerManaging the accounts email inbox and dealing with any enquiriesReconcile accounts / bank reconciliationsProcessing payroll for weekly and monthly staff occasionally to cover holidays and sicknessOther adhoc finance and admin duties as required
We are keen to speak with individuals who have multi-skilled finance experience which covers; sales ledger, purchase ledger and credit control. The successful candidate will also be familiar with accountancy software such as Sage or Quickbooks, as well as been a confident user of MS Excel.
Due to location, the successful Accounts Assistant must have access to their own transport.
