Head of Finance

We have an exciting opportunity for someone to join a charity based near Gloucester who are looking for an Interim Head of Finance on a 12 month contract. The ideal applicant needs to be able to hit the ground running and therefore previous experience in a similar charity role and an immediate availability is essential. There is the possibility that this role could become permanent. This a hybrid role with a mix of home and office based working (1-2 days in the office each week).

They are looking for a candidate that can start ASAP and the role will be responsible for day-to-day financial management, maintaining accurate and reliable financial records, preparing and presenting timely management and financial reports and forecasts. The role will report to the CEO and have a finance assistant. The ideal candidate will be happy to roll up their sleeves and tackle all aspects of the accounts.

Skills Required

Qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent
Previous Charity accounts experience is essential
The applicant must have strong, relevant experience in a similar role.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels with both financial and non-financial management
Excellent oral and written communication skills
The ability to work as part of a team
Excellent analytical and numerical abilities
Sound business knowledge
Accuracy and an eye for detail.
