Accountable Recruitment are working with an established and successful accountancy practice based in Liverpool. Due to growth, the practice is now looking to appoint a Assistant Accountant/Semi-senior Accountant on a full time and permanent basis.
JOB TITLE: Assistant Accountant
JOB TYPE: Full time and Permanent
SALARY: Up to £25k (DOE)
DUTIES:
Monthly/quarterly bookkeeping for clients to include the maintenance of sales and purchase ledger invoice process, bank reconciliations, credit card reconciliations, wages journals etc
Processing VAT returns aligned with HMRC
Managing a portfolio of clients
Utilising cloud systems to prepare multiple accounts
Visiting client premises in the local area where required
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Prior experience working within a accountancy practice as an Accountant is essential - at least 3 years practice experience
- AAT qualified/ Part Qualified ACA/ACCA and qualified by experience will also be considered
- Strong team player
- Ability to work to deadlines
- Strong excel skills
- Excellent communication skills
