An exciting position in the audit team has become available at Top 100 accounting firm in Oxford. A platinum ACCA employer, our client has a strong focus upon the development and training of their team, all while working with a varied and engaging client base.


Your new role
Reporting to the service line manager, you will be responsible for carrying out audit and assurance work for the firm as part of the audit team. In connection with audit assignments prior to manager review, you will also be responsible for audit fieldwork. This will be in addition to completing audit work in accordance with procedures and to assist in other audit related tasks as required. You'll assist other audit team members and contribute to the financial performance of audit team in terms of budgets, target fees and chargeable time.


What you'll need to succeed
Ideally, you will be ACA or ACCA or CIPFA qualified. However, our client recognizes the value of experience and as such is open to candidates that are qualified by experience. You'll possess good IT skills including Outlook, Excel, Word. Knowledge and experience of working with charities is desirable but not essential. Good knowledge of UK GAAP, IFRS and Auditing Standards is essential, and working knowledge of Pro-Audit and Digita products would be an advantage. You'll be able to complete jobs to a high standard with minimum of supervision. You'll have a professional approach to work, colleagues and clients and be reliable, trustworthy, and approachable. Demonstrating good interpersonal skills, you can build and maintain working relationships with clients and other team members and take a genuine interest in our clients and have a desire to put them first. The ability to provide training and aid the development of others, as well as the ability to travel is essential. An enterprising nature, and the ability to build and utilise knowledge of the firm's services to develop business as well as researching marketing opportunities is also strongly advantageous.
