Our client, a well-respected Financial Services Group, listed on the London Stock exchange, is seeking to appoint an Interim Director of FP&A. The group has grown substantially through organic growth and acquisition over recent years. In line with future growth, the business is looking to appoint a high performing and seasoned Interim FP&A Director who will bring substantial leadership experience to help create a best in class FP&A function.
Reporting to the CFO, the role will be responsible for leading the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) function; developing and executing the strategy and financial plan for the Group; and aligning the Target Operating Model for FP&A to the critical strategic objectives. This will include leading and developing the five year strategic financial plan; as well as accountability for the firms reporting cycle; and budgeting, forecasting and BI activities. The role will be responsible for leading and managing the FP&A team, organising and developing them into an agile, high-performing team.
The successful candidate will be a well-qualified accountant (ideally ACA / CIMA from big 4 background) with outstanding FP&A leadership experience within a similar listed business. You should bring clear understanding of best practice within FP&A, extensive experience developing the strategic multi-year financial plan, combined with experience managing a complex management reporting cycle within a Financial Services firm. You must be a highly credible people leader; with commercial acumen, excellent stakeholder management skills, experience of driving change and improvement within FP&A. You should also be an highly effective Finance leader, with ambition, energy, pace and enthusiasm.
