An opportunity has arisen to work for an award winning TV Production company that has a presence in the UK and Internationally. This fast-growing company is responsible for bringing some well-known and loved programmes to our screens and has a healthy slate of productions that have been commissioned or recommissioned.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Production Accountant and experienced individual who is a strong team manager and enjoys a busy and challenging role. This role will initially for an 18 month contract  reporting top the Head of Production Accounts and will work closely with the production managers for each production and provide effective financial control and management of budgets on the productions, providing regular cost reports and up to date forecasts advice on cost reductions.
Key responsibilities
  • Manage multiple productions simultaneously, including reporting to broadcasters;
  • Manage the relationship with production management teams;
  • Manage the tax credits/relief/rebate process for the UK and worldwide
  • Highlight and monitor ringfences/potential savings within budgets;
  • Prepare production cashflows' in line with schedule and monitor monthly income and expenditure is in line to what was expected;
  • Cash Flow forecasting -ensure currency spends are accurately forecasted against hedging contracts;
  • Produce Cashflow for External Reporting to compare / negotiate milestones;
  • Oversee and manage the production Petty Cash and credit cards, ensuring correct coding and post monthly reconciliations.
  • Build and maintain a strong relationship with Production Execs and Production Managers. 
  • Maintain the production asset register, calculate the monthly capital, amortisation and recharge transactions
  • Work with the Production and Commercial teams in costing proposals
About you
  • Previous experience of working as a Production Accountant, ideally across multiple genres
  • You are keen, flexible, yet thorough, with several years’ experience working in a dynamic Finance department.
  • You are articulate, confident, happy to communicate with senior leadership and take direction when required.
  • PMI experience preferred, but not essential.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Enjoys working as part of a team
