Our client has two opportunities for qualified accountancy professionals to join their teams
The opportunities:
As their Fixed Asset Accountant, you will maintain the fixed asset register, including reconciling accounts ensuring accurate records. You will also assist the accounting and reporting of operating and non-operating sales of properties and prepare fixed asset reports for financial statements and provide relevant information to auditors. With experience of working in social housing, you will assist in developing robust financial controls and maintain adherence with all necessary processes and procedures.
You’ll have working knowledge of the Housing SORP, FRS102 and accounting standards in respect of housing fixed assets. Also from a system perspective, you’ll have experience in Open accounts or similar software including the fixed asset module, or a similar fixed asset register software.
Joining them as their Management Accountant, you will lead on the production of the monthly financial reporting including monthly and year-end balance sheet reconciliations.
You’ll have previous management accounting background coupled with reconciliations experience, particularly balance sheet. You’ll have working knowledge of Open accounts or similar software .
The stuff that sets you apart?
For both roles, you’ll be extremely numerate and ACCA, ACA or CIMA qualified with good Excel skills. You’ll be able to work independently and as a team, be really organised, pro-active with deadlines and have strong interpersonal skills. Ideally, you’ll also have regulatory reporting experience.
What’s in it for you?
They offer a salary of £37,668.22 per annum for a 35 hour week, 25 days annual leave (raising annually to 30 days) plus Bank Holidays.
They also provide a fantastic reward package to suit everyone –a variety of amazing discounts via PerkBox, a great Healthcare cash plan called Health Shield and a contributory pension scheme where we will match your contributions up to 9%! As well as our great benefits and a fantastic work environment, we’re absolutely a company that cares about its employees and its customers.
So if you want to be part of a team that makes a real, positive difference every day and work for an organisation that prioritises its people and its customers then we want to hear from you
