Aila is excited to announce an exclusive partnership with a successful, forward-thinking and scaling FMCG brand in the recruitment of a Financial Controller/ Finance Business Partner in a no2 role of a fast-growing and popular consumer brand. Current turnover is c.£40m and they have strong ambitions of reaching £100m and have already implemented some exciting changes to facilitate their growth, including international consolidation and a system change.
We’re supporting on the recruitment of an ACCA/CIMA/ACA Finalist/Newly Qualified Accountant to join the team as a Financial Controller on a permanent basis, supporting the Finance Director and supporting the growth strategy. Although this is a Controller role, it will suit somebody looking for a varied finance position with exposure to lots of business partnering, analysis and commercial elements to their position.
You will support the Finance Director with driving the strategy direction and raising the profile of finance within the business. This is an exciting and variable role which will include Brand Analysis, Financial Planning, Controls and Reporting, in order to equip the business with financial insights, monitor performance vs budget and play a key role in driving cost efficiencies.
Key Responsibilities:
To be successful in this role, you will be a qualified accountant with at least 5 years’ experience in finance and within a financial analysis/business partnering environment. It is essential that you have experience in working with SAP and you will need excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across multiple stakeholders. Ideally, you will also have experience of working within a Consumer Goods and fast-paced environment.

- Work with the Finance Director to develop the finance function and its impact across the wider business
- Business Partnering with internal and external stakeholders daily
- Manage month end process and produce management reporting packs, calling out key drivers of sales and margins
- Financial Planning - lead on the budget and forecasting process
- Brand margin/promotion analysis to help shape decision making
- Year end and statutory accounting and audit
- Provide reporting and take control of Net Working Capital & Cashflow Management
- Develop controls and procedures to ensure that all key issues are identified, communicated and captured in all the appropriate systems
- Lead quarterly rebate review and support Sales on customer analysis
- Ad-hoc commercial projects
