Sales Ledger Clerk

A fast paced wholesale business are recruiting for a Sales Ledger Clerk/Credit Controller to join their business in York.

This is a great opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join a friendly accounts team.

Reporting into the Finance Manager, key responsibilities for the Sales Ledger Clerk/Credit Controller will include:

• Assisting in company credit control procedures
• Progress payments becoming due and chasing overdue accounts
• Dealing with customer queries and correspondence
• Liasing with local Store Manager or Account Mananger to address customer queries and aged debt
• Assist in preparation of Management Accounts
• Supporting Finance Manager and Accountant as required

To be successful in this Sales Ledger Clerk/Credit Controller position, you will:

• Have previous experience in a fast-paced finance role
• Be organised and motivated
• Have previous experience using accounting software such as SAGE, Xero or Quickbooks (or any bespoke package)
• Be a confident communicator
