Based: Blackburn

Our client is a well established legal business based in the Blackburn area. With a client base spanning across the UK, the business are continuing to grow and evolve currently looking to add to their senior leadership team with a commercial, forward thinking Head of Finance. The role offers an excellent opportunity within a growing SME where you will work closely with the board, able to add value from day one.

Role:

• Working closely with the senior management team to streamline and develop new processes/procedures across finance
• Developing effective management information and financial reporting
• Improving and enhancing the management accounts process where you see fit
• Managing a team of 1, due to grow in future
• Business partnering with senior stakeholders
• Managing all VAT, PAYE, Corporation tax
• Producing management accounts, accruals, prepayments
• Producing annual budgets and 3 year forecasts alongside detailed financial reports
• Producing annual statutory accounts, filing with companies house and HMRC
• Working with the senior management team to continue to grow the business

Experience:

• CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualified OR part-qualified with strong technical skills
• Proven experience in a senior finance role, able to lead develop and mentor a team
• Proven experience with process implementation and improvement
• Experience in legal would be desirable but not necessary
