A London market insurance business are looking for a Syndicate Assistant Accountant to join their finance department to be responsible for the preparation and reconciliation of technical and non-technical journal entries relating to the Syndicate.The main responsibilities of this Syndicate Assistant Accountant role will include:Preparation of monthly journals for the consolidation of the syndicate resultsPreparing monthly reconciliations of income statement and balance sheet accounts for both SyndicatesProvide data in prescribed formats to internal stakeholdersPreparation of monthly journals for the consolidation of the syndicate resultsProvide data in prescribed formats to internal stakeholdersDevelop a good understanding of dataflows and dependencies to support the population of the GL and financial reporting.The successful candidate for this Syndicate Assistant Accountant will need experience in working in an accounting function, ideally for an Insurance business, and have experience in posting journals and reconciliation of technical and non-technical journal entries. The candidate must also be working towards and accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
