A London Market Insurance business is looking for a commercially aware FP&A Analyst to join the London based team. Reporting directly to the FP&A Manager, the role is responsible for driving the delivery of all financial management information from both a revenue and expense perspective.

The role requires a thorough individual who is driven to deliver high quality analysis and output, working collaboratively across teams, and at times independently. The individual needs to be capable of evaluating requirements and framing outputs to provide insightful information. The role will also play a lead role in the development and enhancement of the team's processes that support the analysis and reporting of plan and actual information. In this role you will:

Responsible for budgeting, forecasting and performance management within the UK business. This includes translating technical financial data into meaningful, insightful analysis and reporting, for the Executive team and their direct reports.

  • Developing, improving, and maintaining excellent Management Information (MI) to proactively manage functional & performance and objectives. Consistently providing fresh insight, highlighting risks and opportunities in a meaningful manner and constructively challenging results.
  • Understanding key relationships within an insurance P&L and highlighting risks and opportunities to achieving plan. Develop systems and tools to support reporting.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders across the business, delivering services, translating financial data into meaningful information, and ensuring financial information needs are met.
  • Driving process improvement and increasing efficiencies in the way we work, continually looking for opportunities to add value. Proactively engaging with the wider team and driving collaboration between business functions to deliver positive change, striving for best practice.

To be considered for this role you will need to be a commercially minded, qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) accountant with some London Market experience gained working in a Finance function or accountancy practice.
