Associate Payroll Manager
up to £55k
Hybrid working

I am recruiting for an experienced Payroll Manager to join a Global Consultancy firm in the UKI Payroll Team. You will be responsible for line managing two team members and oversee and lead a larger team, co-ordinating and processing multi-country payrolls in a fast-paced matrix environment. My client is looking for enthusiastic team players, able to demonstrate a successful track record of hands-on payroll supervision and have strong problem solving skills and good initiative.

Responsibilities will include:

To co-ordinate and lead payroll operations as part of a large team
To support, motivate and grow team members
Ensure timely and accurate payroll processing of 17,000 staff across the UK and Ireland
Be subject matter expert for payroll operations and point of contact for payroll related pension and equity issues
Operate effective payroll controls to ensure monthly payroll runs are timely and free of errors
Work with key stakeholders across the business to ensure payroll operations are optimised, efficient and compliant
Co-ordinate payroll operations as part of a large payroll team in a fast-paced, high volume environment

Candidate Specification:

Excellent knowledge of UK and Ireland payroll and HR processes/software
A minimum of five years of payroll supervisory experience in a fast paced, high volume environment
Excellent communication skills including clear, professional written and verbal English
Accuracy and an eye for detail
Working as part of a busy team in a fast-paced, matrix environment
The ability to motivate a team to get results
A strong customer focus and polished customer management skills (with experience of working with customers and stakeholders in high pressure environments)
Working with a high level of tact, diplomacy and sensitivity
Good working knowledge of data protection regulations
A methodical approach to problem solving
The ability to work autonomously on own initiative either independently or as part of a team
A quick thinker with a 'can do' attitude and an aptitude for creativity or the ability to adapt as required
Payroll control operation and implementation
Strong organisation skills
Good working knowledge of IT systems
Strong team player
