Elevation Senior Finance are pleased to be partnering with an international manufacturing business in Sheffield to recruit a Finance Project Manager to manage the set up of a new overseas Share Service Centre. This interim project is expected to last for 5 months; working on average 3 days per week.
As an Interim Project Resource, you will be tasked with reviewing current processes and producing analysis on a highly confidential and complex set of data.
Key Accountabilities:
* Lead the root-and-branch review of AP & AR processes, understanding niche areas (where applicable) and what elements can be standardised in a shared services context
* Support objectively the assessment AP, AR & administrative GL processes in order to identify all processes that can be both streamlined (if possible) and/or can be centralised in shared services
* Motivate & engage the team, ensuring full understanding & buy-in at all levels and at all stages of the journey
* Lead the development of new processes & the communication to all relevant stakeholders
* Organise the change management in order for the retained Team to understand and apply the new roles & responsibilities
* Communicate regularly to key stakeholders on the progress of the project and escalate any issues/roadblocks
Essential Skills & Experience:
* Solid senior Finance professional
* Previous experience of finance transformation activity - reviewing processes
* A sleeves-rolled-up approach, being hands-on in terms of developing processes
* Skilled in change management, able to communicate clearly and articulately
* Working knowledge of SAP would be desirable
This interim role requires a keen eye for detail, along with advanced Excel modelling skills and the ability to automate and simplify current processes and reduce reporting errors. Candidates must be comfortable working with incomplete information and be immediately available to start on 1st September 2021.
