My client is an East London based Multi Academy Trust, looking to recruit a Finance Manager for their central services team on a reduced 4 day a week working pattern. Working under the CFO, this role will involve close partnering with schools within the Trust to advise Heads and SLT’s on budget setting and monitoring, departmental budget, costing activities and will produce monthly management accounts. You’ll champion procedure and process improvements to the schools, driving efficiencies across all areas of Trust both centrally and with each of the Trust’s Academies.
On a Trust level, you’ll help to ensure that the finances are managed efficiently, ethically and with integrity, conforming to all internal and external regulatory requirements. You’ll work closely with the CFO on improving the accuracy of reporting, with a view to making finance reports clear and transparent to non finance stakeholders within the Trust and will take a lead in reporting on a cyclical basis at SLT meetings.
Applications are sought from candidates from an Academy finance, charity, or public sector background. Full or part accountancy qualifications are required. This is a great opportunity to join a Trust during a time of growth and has the opportunity to really make a difference to the schools within the Trust.
Farrer Barnes Ltd does not discriminate on the grounds of age, race, gender, disability, creed or sexual orientation and complies with all relevant UK legislation. Farrer Barnes Ltd acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
