MRK Associates are excited to be working with this new client with offices in London and Newcastle, they are a hugely exciting Fintech business who are looking for a qualified accountant to join them as Head of Finance.

This job would suit a candidate with good experience of managing finance operations teams and requires someone who has a strong appreciation for the importance of timely and accurate consolidated reporting on a global basis.

The client has enjoyed rapid growth across Europe and Singapore with subsidiaries in SE Asia, Australia and the USA. The role will be to take full ownership of the Finance Function across the UK and Europe, reporting into the Financial Director

The successful individual will be ACCA or CIMA qualified, with the ability to deliver consolidated global accounts with strong understanding of requirements to do so and potential issues to be aware of. Prior experience with using commercial accounting software, preferably Netsuite, is desired.

Job responsibilities:

• Responsible for the Financial Control (cash, payroll, AP, AR, etc.), Billing, and Credit Control teams.
• Primary focus on UK & Europe with global oversight
• Implementation of Group accounting practices to ensure that the records are maintained in line with relevant accounting standards
• Implement Controls for both for both the accounting and billing operations
• Passionate about IT and Automation
• Developing and rolling out global standards
• Engage with customers where required - process education, complaints resolution, etc
• Representing the financial operations team across various company projects and initiatives
