Systems Accountant

Gleeson Recruitment Group are currently supporting a fantastic services business based just outside of Birmingham who are looking to hire a Systems Accountant to join them in a permanent role, this role offers great salary, benefits and flexible working.

Key Duties, Systems Accountant, Birmingham, £45,000-£60,000

• Systems expert
• Configuration and maintenance of all static data within the system, and be the main point of contact for Support to troubleshoot issues
• Supporting the finance team in their day-to-day use of systems and reporting, including data feeds, bespoke reporting and automation
• Project managing new development within the system and improvements to finance processes as a whole
• Analysing and documenting Finance processes, systems and controls
• Providing input to business case preparation around systems investment
• Testing the impact of changes to systems and interfaces
• Ensuring that our setup meets audit & assurance requirements
• Contributing to the continuous development of a high-performance culture in finance

Experience, Systems Accountant, Birmingham, £45,000-£60,000

• Must be able to demonstrate a high level of knowledge and experience around complex ERP / accounting systems
• Professional accounting qualification / part-qualification desired
• Awareness of risks inherent in a Financial Control environment and effective mitigation controls
• Strong data analysis skills (Excel inevitable; BI systems an advantage)
• High level of attention to detail and a satisfaction in quality team output
• Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written skills (ability to communicate across a wide range of internal and external stakeholders)
• Excellent time management skills (ability to work in a fast-paced environment)
