Aila is excited to announce that we’re working with a leading Fintech/BaaS business in Central London on the recruitment of a Head of Finance Ops to join their finance team on a permanent basis. Reporting into the Finance Director, you will take full control of managing the finance operations team and lead on the financial control, cash, payroll, AP, AR, Billing and Credit Control teams. We are looking for someone who has a strong appreciation for the importance of timely and accurate consolidated reporting on a global basis and with previous experience in a large company.
The business launched in 2016 and has since expanded across Europe, launched in Singapore and is currently extending capabilities in N. America, SE Asia, and Australia. Having a really unique and forward-thinking business model, they have scaled rapidly in recent years, attracting numerous investments in excess of $100m over 8 rounds of investment.
This is an exciting and intriguing role for a senior finance leader that has exposure to leading finance operations teams and is motivated by change, automation and process improvement in order to control transactional finance on a global scale.
You will more than likely be ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified, although it is not a prerequisite if you have experience in a similar capacity and can demonstrate experience in leading operational finance teams for an international business.

To be successful in this role, you will be well organised with a history of delivering to timetables at a high quality, with prior experience with large ERP software (preferably NetSuite) and a demonstrable understanding of accounting principles and how they apply to a global organisation. As it’s a fast-paced and high volume ever-changing environment, it is essential you have the experience and capability to demonstrate implementing control frameworks and manage process automation accurately.

- Responsible for the Financial Control (cash, payroll, AP, AR etc), Billing and Credit Control teams
- Primary focus on UK & Europe with global oversight
- Implementation of sound accounting practices to ensure that the Groups records are maintained in line with relevant accounting standards
- Ensure an appropriate controls framework is in place for both the accounting and billing operations
- Constantly working toward simplification and automation of processes, including the championing of a contract to invoicing automation approach
- Developing and rolling out global standards
- Engage with customers where required - process education, complaints resolution, etc
- Representing the financial operations team across various company projects and initiatives
- Provide ongoing support to the Finance Director as required
