Financial Reporting Accountant

Resourcery Group are partnering with a well known brand based in Liverpool City Centre to recruit a Financial Reporting Accountant. Our client is a large, highly profitable and fast paced business with an excellent reputation. The Financial Reporting Accountant will be part of a high performing team and will have the opportunity to be mentored by an exceptional senior manager. This is an exciting role for an qualified accountant with a large practice background who is ambitious and looking for career development. It is a role that will play to the technical strengths of a practice trained accountant but also requires the ability to communicate and engage with senior stakeholders and provide insightful analysis. 

This role is based in Liverpool but the business offers flexible working. 

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with the preparation of IFRS financial statements, and associated reports and disclosures.
  • Carrying out financial and data analysis and compiling reports for various business purposes including:
  • - Monitoring and management of business and financial performance
  • - Preparatory work for statutory returns and/or reports and accounts
  • - Production of financial reporting MI and accompanying commentary
  • Development and maintenance of strong working relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Gathering, validating and compiling quantitative and qualitative information and data, from multiple internal and/or external sources to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Interpreting financial information to determine causality, significance, business impact or implications and developing advice or recommendations for action to be approved by others

Key Requirements:

  • Qualified accountant

  • Strong technical knowledge and understanding of financial reporting standards
