We're looking for a qualified accountant, who has been responsible for regulatory reporting for a few years and now fancies using their experience in a project environment. This is a newly created role within the finance team of this UK bank and will be suitable for anyone with strong experience in Regulatory Reporting, who is looking for a change and likes the idea of a project-based position.

Reporting in to the Divisional Finance Control and Project Lead, you will be responsible for implementation, testing and data migration of a new regulatory reporting framework. You'll be the key point of contact for the division on all related actions for the project. 

Key Duties:

  • Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for regulatory processes impacting the division by providing technical input into the data initiative projects as well as challenge proposals given the knowledge and awareness of complex systems.
  • Recreate the existing regulatory returns from the new data warehouse and validate requirements through interrogating data sources and testing.
  • Support the data initiatives in Finance by understanding and facilitate the gathering of key reporting attributes from the data warehouse, as well as mapping out the new technical design for more strategic reporting solutions.
  • Work with the key stakeholders to ensure all workstreams surrounding the end to end process are clearly understood and appropriate, clear solutions are designed, documented and implemented
  • Continuous improvement of existing processes to streamline processes, resolve outstanding issues and enhance accuracy of the reporting process.
  • Support the preparation and submission of high-quality regulatory returns to the Group Regulatory team. Returns include COREP, FINREP and Bank of England reporting.

Experience Needed:

  • 3 years experience in a Banking environment as a Regulatory Reporting Accountant
  • Must have knowledge of COREP and FINREP reporting
  • must be a strong communicator
  • Fully qualified accountant with PRA/FCA reporting experience
  • Understanding of key Regulatory Returns processes and cycles
