Hamilton Woods Associates have a fantastic opportunity for an Audit Assistant Manager to join a leading accountancy and business advisory firm.

In your new role as Audit Assistant Manager, you will guide and supervise less experienced colleagues with training and mentoring. You will be expected to drive improvements and champion change. As an Assistant Manager, you will be expected to produce excellent quality work.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

In your new role as Audit Assistant Manager, you will ensure projects comply with internal and International Auditing Standards as well as budgeting and monitoring the financial performance of projects, focusing on optimising profitability. You will lead teams on the ground, reporting directly to the manager and partner. Further to this you will:

  • Building relationships with the client staff and acting as an ambassador for the firm
  • Report writing for Audit Committees and management
  • Identification of ways to differentiate the practice, bringing new and innovative ideas to clients
  • Supervise, coach, develop and appraise trainees and executives within teams,


PROFILE:

The successful candidate will have a strong current/recent background in Audit or Accountancy practice including a reasonable proportion of Audit work, ideally including good practical knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS. Will be ACA, ACCA qualified or equivalent qualification with high first-time pass rate. Strong IT literacy, including Excel, Powerpoint and Word is essential. Also, possess creativity, commercial focus and the ability to take accountability with strong decision-making ability, detail-focused, organised and commitment to quality. As well as experience managing projects and experience supervising and coaching junior members on client premises and in the office
