Project Accountant

Elevation Recruitment Group are currently recruiting for a successful business in Chesterfield that operates nationally and continues to grow exponentially. As a result of this, it means there are a significant number of financial based projects that need driving forward and has created an exciting new role for a Project Accountant.

It is important for this person to have the ability to communicate with non-financial managers and work with department heads to drive certain changes. The role will be highly visible and will work with all teams across the business.

Some of the upcoming projects will include:-

*Setting up of multi-currency on accounting system
*Reviewing current processes and advising on new way of working, including ensuring better accuracy of P&L reporting
*Implementation of DD Software, BACS payment solution
*Implementation of expenses management software
*Implementation of Bank Reconciliation/ Cash posting software
*Implementation of automated invoice posting software
*Review of current processes and recommendation of improvements across the company
*Management of ad-hoc financial improvement projects

Elevation Accountancy & Finance would be keen to speak with candidates with the following skills and experiences:

*Qualified Accountant
*Inquisitive in nature, a desire to make improvements to processes
*Previous experience of system development is a must
*Excellent problem solving skills
*Excellent advanced Excel skills, including good knowledge of using pivot table, lookups, sumifs
*Strong technical accounting understanding
*Attention to detail, accuracy
*Dynamic, proactive attitude and a desire to improve working practices
*Professional and mature manner
*Flexible, team-based approach to their job
*A clear, coherent communicator
*Pride in accuracy and attention to detail in complex financial issues
*Excellent communication skills

This role will support home working but equally the office is based in a central Chesterfield location, so is easily accessible.
