Assistant Financial Controller- 6 month FTC
£60,000 - £65,000 + Benefits
 
Aila is excited to announce a partnership with one of the worlds leading sports tech companies that has gone through tremendous growth in recent years, scaling from £10m - £200m in a 4 year period.
 
They are an exciting and driven business that have recently listed on the NYSE and have been through some interesting M&A activity also. Due t the rapid expansion and growth of the business, we are now seeking a talented individual to join the finance team as Assistant Regional Financial Controller on an initial 6 month basis, with a view of extension and potentially permanent.

You will be ACCA/CIMA/ACA Qualified Accountant with strong technical accounting experience and the ability to work in a fast-paced international environment that is ever-changing. Supporting the Group Financial Controller, you will assist on the development of all UK accounting teams, taking control of the detailed review and approval of revenue reporting and ensure SOX compliance.
 
 
Key Responsibilities:
 
  • Reports directly to the UK Regional Financial Controller, supporting the development of all UK accounting teams
  • Development of Workday Financials / reduction in reliance on Excel
  • Improvements in Finance Processes
  • Support in the creation and improvement of SOX controls to ensure SOX compliance
  • Responsible for detailed review and approval of revenue reporting
  • Support the submission and presentation of regional results
  • Responsible for cost reporting and relevant analysis
  • Supporting SEC reporting team in US GAAP reporting
  • Working with FP&A team in production of annual budgets and forecasts
  • Ensuring all accounting is in line with required GAAP and Group policy
  • Review of Monthly Statutory P&Ls, Balance sheets and supporting information
  • Support in the production of divisional statutory reporting (for all subsidiaries in the division)
  • Development of Dashboards/Standardised reports for budget holders
  • Detailed KPI reporting
  • Review and certification of Balance Sheet reconciliations
  • Short term cashflow forecasting
  • Other Ad hoc work as initiated or required
 
To be successful in this role, you will be a qualified accountant with at least 2-3 years’ PQE and experience in a technical financial accounting environment with excellent stakeholder management skills.
 
It is essential that you have excellent Excel skills and communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across multiple stakeholders.
