They’re looking for a Junior Portfolio Manager to work in their award-winning Investment Team and be responsible for the day-to-day management of their multi-billion LDI portfolio.
Reporting directly to the Head of LDI the job-holder is responsible from day one for trade execution, trade idea generation, portfolio construction, and information gathering to monitor the performance of the portfolio. There will also be significant involvement in building and maintaining relationships with external parties, i.e. bank counterparties, and proactive engagement with relevant internal teams, such as Risk and Investment Operations.
They’re looking for applicants with portfolio management and / or trade execution experience from an LDI or fixed income setting, with specific exposure to Sterling market’s is a plus. They expect that you have robust stakeholder management skills underpinned by excellent written and verbal communication skills allowing you to present ideas as well as numerical and technical information to diverse stakeholders. Finally, they are supportive in helping employees fulfil their potential in this role as well as their future career; they are keen to enable their staff to take relevant training courses and accreditations.
