Your new role
Partnering with the commercial teams, the Commercial Planning Manager will support the
continued growth of the company by guiding, influencing, and adding value to conversations
with customers, support contract management and provide costing strategies for
products. Additionally, this role will carry out ad-hoc financial analysis for key stakeholders
across the business to support commercial decisions.
Creation, implementation, and monitoring of profit improvement plan
Creating & managing a high-quality scorecard which contains insightful commentary
Compile and circulate monthly risk profile
Complete monthly profit predictions to allow for corrective action
Represent the business in external commercial discussions in conjunction with the
sales team
Work on the long-term financial plan for the organisation, assessing financial viability
and commercial return on investment opportunities to maximise ROI.
Provide insight and analysis on performance drivers and trends to enable an early
understanding of business risks and opportunities.
Provide supporting analytics to any M&A scouting & diligence activity.
Analysing potential development initiatives and investments.
Lead the strategic planning calendar, ensuring all elements of the process are properly
planned and coordinated (including 5-year planning cycle, customer strategy review,
BU strategy plans, etc.)
Support the commercial team with contract renewals and tender submissions for new
business, assessing long term profitability.
Provide costings and support for new product development.
Provide financial analysis of web sale promotions.
Assisting the CEO in various analysis and presentations to improve business
performance

What you'll need to succeed
You will be CIMA qualified with a background in the manufacturing and/or FMCG sectors
Strong analytical background ability to carry out root cause analysis and able to develop and
interpret data and information for reporting. influencing and presenting to all levels to a high-level of detail, maintaining accuracy in complex work. Advanced excel skills. Previous ERP systems experience.
Willingness to go outside of the normal job remit to support both internal and external stakeholders. Excellent presenting style, ability to tell a story with passion and conviction. Ability to influence at all levels. Positive and resilient mindset. Pragmatic and proactive, taking the initiative and working autonomously across a broad remit.
