The pro rata annual salary on offer is £70,000-£85,000, commensurate with experience.

  • Line management responsibility for a Project Finance Associate (PFA), providing day-to-day management and support of their development and training.

  • Complete scenario planning, sensitivity and cost-benefit analysis and other financial modelling tasks to enable key capital allocation decisions to be made in respect of current projects and workstreams.
  • Advise the development team on the financial aspects of drafting legal documentation for deals, providing worked examples and analysis.
  • Providing support to the Group Finance Director with securing equity and debt funding for projects, including variations to existing facilities and other legal documentation where necessary.
  • Lead the production of business plan forecasts with accompanying assumptions and support, for individual sites.
  • Lead the preparation of monthly and quarterly reports showing actual performance against budget; including in-depth variance analysis, graphics and commentary, supported by a PFA.
  • Oversee and manage the project cash flows and funding requirements.
  • Liaise with Director of Financial Planning and Reporting to ensure that accurate and timely information is provided to the Group's valuers and that costs to date and forecast assumptions are reasonable and/or accurate.

Role requirements

  • Qualified accountant (or PQE) with 5 years + experience gained in industry
  • Technical familiarity with accounting for property development: including VAT and CIS, investment and trading property accounting, debt and equity structuring, long-term developments and leases.
  • Strong analytical, presentation, communication, negotiation, facilitation, conflict resolution and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a changing environment and propose, justify, initiate and implement change
  • Advanced MS Office user specifically Excel (experience with other financial planning/modelling software is an advantage)
  • Ability to advise and support project teams and improve the quality of information provided
  • Great attention to detail, time-management and organisational strengths
  • Ability to manage, develop and coach junior members of the team, overseeing their day-to-day outputs and conducting appraisals
