Your new role
As Financial Controller you need to be ready for a challenge. This is not a BAU role, there is a lot to change, develop and challenge and a really exciting time to join the business with a massive opportunity for the successful candidate to have a huge impact on the shape of the structure of the finance team, processes, systems improvement etc. In the long term the Financial Director will move into a more commercial role so there is the opportunity to move into the FD role too.

Your core role will include:

• Oversee all company accounts
• Create monthly and annual reports to identify results, trends and financial forecasts
• Manage cash flow by tracking transactions and regularly reviewing internal reports
• Supervise and manage financial department staff, including accountants and financial assistants
• Motivate and lead finance team members by clarifying roles and providing feedback
• Suggest update and improvements for accounting systems
• Ensure that all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed and reported
• Establish and implement financial reporting systems to comply with government regulations and legislation
• Lead annual audit and preparation of statutory accounts
• Responsible for all tax compliance, returns and payments
• Develop budgets for the company as part of senior management team
• Report to FD with timely and accurate financial information
• Assist FD in presenting reports to senior executives, stakeholders and board member

What you'll need to succeed
You need to be a fully qualified Accountant and absolutely ready to head into a role full of change.


What you'll get in return
£70-75K + Bonus + Pension
