Elevation Recruitment are currently working exclusively with this fast paced distribution business based in Rotherham, to recruit an Accounts Supervisor to join their close-knit finance team, on a 9-12 month contract to cover maternity leave.
Within this role you will be working closely with the Financial Controller, managing the payroll for the business, and supporting with the management accounts.
Full duties will include:
* General management of the company's cashflow through maintenance of accurate cashflow forecasts
* Process and administer the monthly payroll of approximately 120 employees using Sage Payroll
* Assist with monthly management account preparation
* Maintenance and reconciliation of the company's bank accounts and petty cash
* Maintenance, reconciliation and analysis of expenses and credit card accounts
* Raising weekly and monthly BACS payments in accordance with set payment timescales
* To process and submit VAT returns on a quarterly basis
* To provide cross cover with other members of the finance and administration team
* Any other duties as may be required from time to time within the capabilities and competence of the individual with appropriate training, where required
The ideal candidate will be AAT (or similar) qualified, and must have experience with end to end payroll, but will also bring the following skills, experience and competencies:
* Self motivated and enthusiastic disposition
* Strong organisational skills
* Experience supporting with some aspects of month end accounts process
* End to end payroll experience essential
* Sage accounting package preferred
