Investment Planning and Analysis Accountant

£55,000 - £65,000

London, Leeds or Preston (predominantly remote working)

Exciting and commercially focused role within a large and expanding property management / development group (circa £1bn turnover).

You will play a vital role in a highly visible position which includes interaction with senior stakeholders (to board level).  Your focus surrounds providing guidance around investment, capital spend and ROI.  You’ll be reviewing the performance of the diverse base of interesting assets and providing vital real time guidance on how best to invest and manage the assets to maximise performance.

Some of the questions on your desk might include:

“Where should we be spending money, how and when should we invest, what should we expect in terms of ROI, how are we tracking against expectation and what’s driving the variance….”

You’ll present key MI, modelling, scenario planning and reporting which ultimately feeds into key decision making regarding property purchase, improvement & development, repurposing or potential sale.

You’ll be someone able to get under the skin of the numbers to provide robust evidence to support the key asset-focused decision making.  How are the current assets performing against the plan? Are they trending as expected?  What intervention plans would you recommend (investment and upgrade, total overhaul, potential sale, changing the usage etc.)

You can really make a difference here – your efforts can genuinely influence the bottom line and you’ll be an absolutely vital finance business partner.

  • The role would suit a qualified finance professional with experience of property management / construction.  You’ll be someone who understands the drivers of success within a business with a large and diverse real estate portfolio.
  • You’ll need commercial awareness and super interpersonal skills coupled with the ability to drill down into complex financial data / models.
  • You’ll be someone who enjoys influencing decision making through the presentation of diligent and insightful financial information.
  • It’s an incredible place to work – the career development opportunities of a large and expanding group coupled with great work life balance and market leading benefits.
  • Advanced Excel skills are a must.

If you are a qualified accountant with particular interest in the property sector we would welcome the chance to speak.
